| Parent Organizations | |
| There are many parent organizations that offer education, parent-to-parent support and information to families of children with disabilities. Family resource centers (FRCs) are funded in this state by the Department of Developmental Disabilities to provide parent-to-parent support and information to families of children ages 0-5. Parent training and information centers (PTIs) are funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation, to provide information and education to families of children who are eligible for special education services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). | |
