Section 1. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

Families of children with disabilities may be eligible to receive services from one or more governmental agencies. This section provides a list of the major governmental agencies that oversee the delivery of these services to children with disabilities, arranged by category. • services to individuals with developmental disabilities
• educational services to children with disabilities
• health services to children with disabilities
• mental health services to children with disabilities
• financial and other forms of assistance to families of children with disabilities

Many government agencies have residential eligibility criteria. The agencies in this guide primarily serve families in San Francisco County.
